Sorting Ceremony

When you become a member of the society, you will be sorted into one of the four houses.

Throughout the term, House Points are earned - and at the end of the year, the House Cup is presented to the house with the most points.

The Winners of the 2018 House Cup were Ravenclaw...

Sorting Quiz

If you are not able to come to the sorting for whatever reason, we also have a sorting quiz, which is how people are sorted after the ceremony. This consists of several questions to answer and again the heads of houses will confer and decide where you belong.

You must be a member of the society to either go to the sorting ceremony or to receive a sorting quiz. To become a member online, please click here.

Sorting Ceremony

The ceremony consists of four tasks; one task per house, either written or practical.

The House Heads will assess your performance at each task and then make a decision between themselves as to which house you belong in.

You then get to sit on the Sorting Stool and have the Sorting Hat exclaim which house you belong to! This truly magical experience ends with the feast (of course).
